Pastor Kevin Hart, Sr. M. Div. walks as a testament to God's love and faithfulness. He is truly called of God to serve and infuse hope to those who the world has deemed unusable. Pastor Kevin’s spiritual gifts and practical education experiences connects his pastoral leadership and discipleship teaching with prophetic preaching and social action.
Pastor Kevin is married to Elder Darlene Hart and together they have five children.
Pastor Kevin served faithfully under his father Bishop William F. Hart Jr, leadership at the Christian Tabernacle Church and was chosen of God to succeed his father in the pastorate. Pastor Kevin was installed as the Senior Pastor on May 1, 2011. He has become the man both his mother, the late Dorothy Mae Hart and his father had envisioned him to be and he is irrefutably God's mouthpiece.
Pastor Kevin serves as the Executive Director of the Christian Tabernacle Child Development Center, a Nationally Accredited Child Development Center with three locations in the heart of Washington DC.
Pastor Kevin also is the president of Pick Up The Pieces Inc., a 501c (3) Organization that serves as a resource center to those who fill as though they are missing a piece of the puzzle and know that, “You cannot complete a puzzle if you don’t have ALL the pieces.
Pastor Kevin’s relational anthropology coupled with his passion for making a difference in the lives of others is the driving force behind his relentless advocacy for the underserved, overlooked, undervalued and his pursuit for souls. Pastor Kevin's life truly is evidence that "there is nothing too hard for God to do," no matter how bad things look in the natural, no matter what statistics may indicate. This belief is evident in his challenge to the church as a whole to "LOVE FIRST AND ASK QUESTIONS LATER!" Pastor Kevin is a man after God's own heart, and he studies to show himself approved.
Pastor Kevin earned his undergraduate degree from Southern Baptist Bible College and a Master of Divinity from the Samuel DeWitt School of Theology @ Virginia Union. Pastor Kevin also earned a Certification in Criminal Justice and Reconciliation from Howard University School of Divinity
